Hey guys I'm looking for my high school 1978 Grand Am.

Last known whereabouts Houston TX 1990. I had to sell it when my husband went overseas with the Army in 1990. I haven't seen it since.

I sold it for $300 to a young girl and her father.

If I can find it I have a 1980 Pontiac Grand Am that I would trade. The 80 is in great shape. It's triple black with a Landau top.

Good luck. let us know the progress and the steps you are taking to find it. DMV may be able to help just to see when it was last registered. Won't give you the owner though

Update:

What started this search was finding the VIN in an old box. Went to the DMV and paid $2 for a title search.

Alex Salas is who I sold it to. I am listed as the prior owner. The last registration In Houston, TX was 1994. Internet search revealed a phone number for Alex. Out of desperation I sent a text. Contact! He remembers the car but nothing else and sold it to someone but cant remember who. The trail is now cold and I have no where to hunt. I offered Alex cash for any information. He has none to give.

This was the last attempt at finding it.

Now i'm going to update my 80. My husband is going to swap an LS into it. He is into Torinos but he has always enjoyed my Grand Am. The donor weighs 3660lbs and runs 13.7 in the quarter. Figuring weight loss my Grand Am should be low 13s on a stock low mile engine with AC, automatic, and reliability. All the parts are off the shelf except for the driveshaft, radiator hoses, exhaust, and throttle cable.

Sorry to hear the trail went cold. Thanks for coming back with the update. Consider posting a build thread on the LS swap. We're tuned in and want to help if we can or just watch.
