Can any1 give their opinion on what kinda horsepower/torque my new engine should be making and also what timing is a good place to start (total not initial) and what kind of et I can expect providing it hooks up? The engine is a 383 with 10-10.5 compression forged speed pro pistons eagle steel crank stock style forged rods I have the trick flow 23* 195s with 64cc chambers 2.02/1.60 valves and heavy duty dual valve springs lunati cam is 246/256 duration at .50 lift is .550-.571 but I have 1.6 roller rockers and its a solid flat so IDE have to do the math but their lashed @ .24 intake .28 exhaust hot and I know the lift is about .588-.596 @ .50 (like I said IDE have to do the math for exact that's just a ruff estimate) it's rated from 3500-7500 rpm power band. The intake is a Vic jr speed demon 750 vacuume secondary carb msd 6al box and msd hei cap and rotor. The trans is a built th-350 with a 10" 3000 stall (will be getting 4000 stall when money allows) and has a 3.73 posi ( stock until 8.8 goes in then will be 4.10 gear) I have 26" Mickey et drags and comp enge 3 ways set at 50/50 and eibach drag springs. Any and all opinions will be very helpful thanks guys.

the stock weight is pretty damn heavy. the carb is choking it a bit IMO

You have good compression so eventually you can hit the tens. Im thinking youll be about mid 11s

he is over 400 horse on that combo.

he should be around a 425 - 450 range. the carb needs to be bumped up a bit.

"Your ET / MPH computed from your vehicle weight of 3600 pounds and HP of 425 is 11.87 seconds and MPH of 112.84 MPH. "

my fav site to use

Thanks for the info guys idk who the guy was thinking 13s lol I went 13.27 with a 350 vortec heads and a baby cam with an eddy 600.... Best et so far was 12.4. @108 on 28" tires with 32 degrees timing snapped the water pump belt and didn't get a chance to bump timing up... I was thinking take it to 36 for the next pass and I have my 26s now
