if you're skeptical about anything '**** it' are the two best words you could say because you could find yourself in a situation where you're saying to yourself "I had a perfectly good beat up Tahoe that could tow 5,000 pounds and now I have this" and be standing outside w/ 75 parts spread out in front of you. There are plenty of 'sketchy' cars for a couple hundred - $1500 and cars w/ bad paint that 'run and drive' but have ghetto-rigged 350 for $2,000 out there. In the money range / quality machine you're looking for why take a chance? Personally, I'd highly recommend you find a more original cutlass cheap and slate a cheap 350 to be rebuilt at the engine shop of your choice on the side. In the meantime upgrading your suspension to recieve higher g's wont cost you big money. It's better to get a muscle car with a good starting point than to start at somebody elses 'finishing point' 🙂

Yeah I'm looking at the Monte Carlo SS in the link I just posted. I think it would make a good candidate for a swap as it already needs some TLC. I can pick up a 350 pretty cheap around here to build until the current engine dies.
