Zup guys,I have an 86 regal with the olds 307 all stock and Im leaking oil and it wasnt cheap(mobil 1 synthetic)I think this is the part that is causing the leak because its the highest part with oil drops on it.It sits below the Ac compressor and attached to the front passenger side of block.I think it leaks from there and runs down my lines to the bottom and on the pan and cover and cross member, but i dont know what it is,you guys tell me,heres a pic

Looks like thats your fuel pump. Could be the pump itself, or just the gasket between the pump and the block.

To be sure that whats leaking, wash off the motor till there is no sign of oil leaking, and then run it for a while and keep an eye on it until you see oil leaking.

Also, check your oil to make sure the pump is not leaking gas into your oil.

Mobil One is probably what caused the leak. Its not good to use that oil in older engines or leaks will start to pop up everywhere. I am assuming its just the gasket between the fuel pump and block because there is a lot of oil that goes through the timing chain area. You should be fine changing the gasket, but other leaks still might pop up somewhere else as long as you are using synthetic oil. You might want to try Mobil 1 high mileage synthetic because it is designed to help stop or slow down leaks.

re

well if thats my fuel pump i dont think it should be leaking fuel because it does not smell like fuel,is there smoething next to it or above it that carries oil? I think its something that carries oil because my oil is slowly draining causing me to put more oil in.

The fuel pump is fine. There is a gasket that seals off the timing chain area, in which does have oil.

Sometimes an older fuel pump can get a leak internaly, meaning it will leak fuel into the engine oil, That's the reason I said check your oil for fuel.

Also, check around your timing chain cover, and make sure that oil isnt leaking from there and runing back to the pump and then down. (the fan can push the oil around before it drops, making it look like other things are leaking.

re

ok so the fuel pump has a gasket that may be bad?and the timing chain cover as well? I will check today and possibly remove the fuel pump,if i remove it will a bunch of fuel come of the pump?

Like tbrtat said, the fuel pump could be internally leaking and it could be mixing gas with oil. Check you oil and see if it smells like gas. If it does not smell like gas, yes it could be the fuel pump gasket and/or the timing chain cover. Clean it off really good and check if you can see where exactly it is coming from.
