Uneek, that is a nice stance. I didn't see your answer to how you lowered it and by how much. I am guessing springs only, it doesn't look low enough for drop spindles. I like it. That is one of the first G-bodies I have seen with above an 18" wheel that I thought actually looked like they belong. It is nice. :!: :!: :!:
I think that is about how they would make an 80's G-body for the 2010's. 8)
That wheel looks bad arse. Bet it would look great the right g. Not a fan of rubber band tires either especially in the rear. www.mandhtires.com check out their drag radials they have a new size 275/45/18. Its the same section width and height as their 275/60/15 that I ran on my Cutlass with no mods. Ask M&H who their biggest retailer is and that outfit (can't remember their name) can get you a better price than they list or Jegs etc. PS I loved those tires hooked great lasted decent (relative to abuse) and even did ok in the rain.
Sorry it took so long to reply back with an answer. At the time I did have drop spindles, tubular upper control arms, stock SS springs, monroe shocks, and some stock lower control arms with poly bushings. In the back is Belltech rear springs and monroe shocks. Here's another pic with 17's.
Now the problem I had with this setup was even with rolling all the fenders I still had rubbing issues(front only) and the end would bottom out, and this was with the 17's mounted. So I swapped the dropped spindles for the stockers and cut 1\2 coil out of the springs. By doing this I raised the front up 2 inches then cut 1\2 coil out of the spring to lower it back down 1 inch. This solved my rubbing issues and no more bottoming out either. I haven't mounted the 20's yet because I want to change the rear springs. This is the latest pic that I have right now.
If you have any power & gearing at all 20s spin like crazy. Front wheel drive economy cars can leave you at a light. You can get drag radials in 18s though. Anything more than 1.5" drop also gets to be a pia. Also 18s still look right with the body lines. Much bigger starts to look like a match box car.
