Im looking to put some 18x8 ridler 695 on my monte carlo im currently rebuilding have to replace all suspension amyway and would like to lower it not sure if using maybe umi 2inch lowering springs all around would be good planimg on using 245/45/18 tires rims have 4.5 backspacing any advice wpuld be great ive searched alot of forums already not sure which way to go

I ran 245-45-18's on 2012 Camaro 18x7.5 wheels (apprx 5.825" back spacing) with SPC "lowering" springs. I ran 2" billet aluminum spacers (giving me 3.825" back spacing) with no issues. the car still sat a bit high in the front for me, almost like a stock height in appearance. I added Bell tech 2" drop spindles , 255-40-18 rear tires , and, while it looked incredible, I could not turn the front wheels a half turn of the steering wheel! I ended up using 1" spacers from a Range Rover, had to open up i.d., 225-45-18's in the front, and now I only get rubbing at almost full turn. I think that 3.75" back space will be perfect in the rear with 245-45-18's. I have 3.825", and if the rear was any lower, the sidewalls would rub the wheel openings. I will post pics. First is with 3.825" back spacing , second with 2.85" back spacing. Remember, these are 7.5" wheels, but I had very little room left in the front before I was hitting the spindle. I think it looked better before, but I couldn't steer!

Also, my springs were rated as 1.2" front drop, 1" rear drop.

Ok im thinking of either umi or opgi 2inch drop springs put back and i know i need new springs up front not sure to do ust 2inch lowering springs or drop spindles amd some stock moog springs and trim if i need to lower ot alittle more just not sure i havent order the wheels yet but i will be soon just pulled my rear end out today to swap in a posi one i picked up so need to figure it out so i can order parts to get it back in hahaha i want to run 18 wheels but i know alot of people are running 17's

Just hard because my car sat up real high when i got it it had big 24 inch rims on it seems like it has highjacker springs in it the front had thise cheap twist in lifters removed them the front didnt drop at all i have some cutlass wheels on it for rolling it around and i have like a huge 6inch at least gap between tire and fender

18x9.5 on the rear, thats why i have the spacer. 17x8 on front. I havent put hardly any miles on it yet, but if the front doesnt settle about a half inch ill emd up trimming the springs to kdrop the front another half t one inch.
