Advice on lowering my Monte

Sorry for continuing to drag this thread on, but I appreciate all the replies and help so far! One more thing (before seeing if I can get them replaced) - I've noticed some people mentioning there might be an issue if the control arms were tightened with the wheels hanging and not on the ground. If that was the case, is the procedure for me to just loosen the a arm bolts a bit while on the ground then re-tighten?

Correct. A-am & rear suspension links need to be tightened w/full weight on the chassis/@ ride height.

They’re stock

Crack the bolts loose, roll the car back and forth for good measure, and retorque with weight on wheels. The amount the car needs to settle ought to be negligible or non-existent at this point, but it never hurts to roll it back and forth a few feet to be sure.

IMHO, Poly bushings as well (which is what most 'average' aftermarket stuff seems to be).

I'm curious why you say that? Because the sleeve rotates inside the poly, which is why they need lube. With rubber the sleeve is bonded so no rotation, only deflection.

I've messed w/more than one Poly set-up on Chevy trucks & found they needed the same treatment as OE style rubber. I won't even consider Poly stuff anymore. Higher durometer rubber or Delrin for me.

Have you tried delrin yet? I haven't. My friend bought a race car with delrin bushings and didn't like it. Thought it had a bit of stiction to it so he tossed them in favor of spherical.
