Hey everyone, im trying to figure what springs l need to get, or i should say the ones i need to get the right drop im after.
It seems most springs are for a v8, and i have a v6 plus the sag in the spring from their age . Im looking to acheive a 2 inch drop all the way around.
What kind of actual drop has everyone got with there loweing springs , and what springs did you use? Thanks

I don't have first hand experience but have heard of folks replacing tired original springs with lowering springs and were disappointed in how little drop they achieved. Sometimes the ride height even went up with new lowering springs replaced tired V6 springs that had a V8 swapped in.

I used opgi.com 3 inch drop springs on my elky and got more like 3 in the front and 5 in the back. Sagged terrible. I kept the 3 in the front and put umi 2 in springs in the rear. It has a nice rake to it now and handles great. My suggestion is to use umi all around. Much better springs. Just my 2 cents.

You can't go wrong with UMI parts!! I have almost everything the make for a G body and they have very good craftsmanship!

I have UMI 2" drop rears and Moog factory replacement sbc springs up front but with the BBC up the drop is about equal to the rear.
Usually front springs end up being a trial and error issue since there are so many variables between Gbodies that no one spring gives a set height in a given car and remember if you haven't done new body mounts yet this will typically raise the car a little also.
Even though I have taller tires in the rear I tried to keep the wheel well gaps close

I'd go UMI rear, then pick a Moog front you like based on handling goals and cut the coils until the stance is perfect.
