I am starting to install an 02 lq4 driveline into my 78 grand prix. The engine came with stock truck exhaust manifolds. The passenger side manifold fits with no clearance issues, however the drivers side has clearance issues with the firewall /floorboard area. I was wondering if anyone has tried to use either stock exhaust manifolds, or headers from a 98-02 f-body.
I'm just trying to avoid spending 4-5 hundred dollars on a set of headers if possible. Any info would be great.
Thanks..

Yes I'm pretty sure everyone that uses stock manifolds uses them from an F-body. How bad was it hitting the firewall on the driver side?

It would need about a 1" clearance for the truck manifold to clear, I just don't want to go at it with a hammer to make the truck manifold work.
