I've actually been building this car for over a year so its probably time I make an official build thread. My first car ever was an 84 El Camino SS. I grew up hearing stories from my dad and his friends about cars they wish they had never gotten rid of. I decided I wanted something that was useful enough I'd never have to ge4t rid of it. Well, someone decided they wanted my car more than I did and stole it off my driveway after I only had it 9 months. We found it 2 weeks later stripped to the frame. 18 years later, I got this 79. Since then, I've swapped in a stock LS1/ 4L60E, Torsen diff and 3.23 gears from a 2000 Camaro. This car has a focus on autocross so I'm also running Viking coilovers, BMR front control arms, F41 front sway bar, UMI braces, and aftermarket rear control arms.

They're Procar Elite 1100s. I was a bit worried their Maroon wasn't going to match very well but its almost a perfect match for Carmine Red
They do work well w/the existing color shades. That's a cool little bonus.
I like how it looked with the Z28 steel wheels but I'm bias to those wheels. The 17" rallys look good too.
Hey, that's a nice one! It sucks having your car stolen but I'm glad you've got this beauty now. I'm also a fan of the 2nd Gen Camaro wheels but agree about the 17s.
