ls1 rear brake ?'s

Alright I couldn't find the answer to my question using the search and other forums so here it is, I picked up a complete ls1 rear brake setup for my 8.5" rear, I've seen the tutorial pics on an fbody site it was done on a 7.5" I think and it looked like the hole through the ls1 backing plate that goes over the end of the axle tube is pretty tight, so is the axle tube diameter the same for both rear ends?

I haven't owned or messed with an f-body rear axle but as far as I know both rears are the same except for the way they mount. As far as mounting the brakes, both should be identical.

yes 100% the axle flanges are the same on both the 7.5 and 8.5, gbody & fbody.

Just like the 3rdgen install.
