I am going to drop the car off sometimes next week to a shop in town and he will do everything for 800. I got a 95 LT1 with 700r4 (not 4L60E). I am buying a painless LT1 harness so I will be starting a build thread really soon. He is going to take lots of pics

Hows he coming a long on this? Cant wait until you get it done.

I finally got motor and transmission dropped off today just ordered harness a few minutes ago car should be ready by next week running a little behind on my end had to get motor and transmission delivered from 3 cities away

Anybody heard of Spuman Mike I done the swap. For under 2000 but the rebuilds are taking a toll on me Its cheaper to do it urself M - would like to see how this turn out

definitely interested in seeing how this works out. it seems like a good swap for a daily that still has some power to it. depending how the next few months go i may be able to persuade myself into doing this, just build up all the parts i need and knock it out over a weekend or something.

also, what transmissions bolt to the lt1? i always see people using the 4l60e but would a 200r4 or 700r4 fit on there? id think using the non electronic trannies might make install a tad easier.

The 700they and 4l60the will bolt directly ti the LT motors. They can be bolted to the LS, but there are issues

It's actually easier to just use the 4L60E and the shift quality is way better.
