i found a basic answer from a manufacturers website. on a 9:1comp engine 8psi will add 35-40% power, on an intercooled setup running 17psi you can get a 100% increase.
so if we assume a 1:1 ratio of HP to cubic inches (pretty standard these days on a mild build) and a 40% increase you'd be just under 500hp i'd definately run an intercooler but i wouldn't go as far as 17psi. maybe 12-14 max on a street engine.
 
Well, I would build a new engine if I went this route, probably going up to 9:1 compression with aluminum heads. I have cast pistons, rods and crank as well as 2 bolt mains in this one so it would not like boost or nitrous too much. Before that, I would do a new rear axle and a T-56 six speed swap. The 7.5 and ailing, basic TH-200 4R would not hold up well either.
