I have a set of mt covers on the 350 in my monte project.i opened the front hole in the driver side to put a breather in.yesterday I hooked up the ac lines to the compressor and the breather was right in the way.is there any type of short breather or am I going to have to plug this hole somehow?

no. one way with the wording on it.the other side has both holes opened.

why would you need to open a hole on the cover if you have both open on the other cover. On our GM crate engines 602 and 604 they came with the drivers side cover with both holes open for the breathers/filler and the other cover with no holes and we never opened them cause there was no need.

hmm I always thought one side needed a breather and the other side got the pcv.
if I don't need any hole in one side ill just put one of those push in filler caps in the hole.(probably could never use it because of the ac lines)and call it a day.i was really hoping to fix this with everything in place and not take the covers off again.

the reason why they do that on production cars is to only have one valve cover that fits both sides instead of a right and left.
