Major Blizzard

Jack, you are correct, it's pretty bad. 50mph winds and 15-25 foot seas plus a moon tide. The Mayor of Wildwood NJ was on TV saying water is getting into places even Sandy didn't hit. They closed ALL roads at 2:30 pm but of course rubberheads are out there- getting stuck for hours. Even a garbage truck/plow got stuck at my Daughter's street. So far Kennedy Airport has 27"! The killer is the wind- it is relentless.

Thank's Steve, all is well. After snow blowing I curled up to watch "The Last Witch Hunter" and nurse a cold one. Love Vin Diesel!

Hey Mark,
It sounds like this one was a real doozy. I'm glad you guys are doing well under the circumstances. Seeing it on CNN brought me right back there again. I used to like how quiet the streets got after a snowstorm...no traffic and people walking the streets.
27" is nothing to sneeze at.

This has been the strangest winter season that I can remember. We've had almost no seasonably cold weather until January and we haven't seen below zero temps yet. Usually by this time of the season we've had 70-100" of snow and have had a straight week of sub zero temps. So far this season we've had less than 5". And others are getting the snow that we usually get. Unfortunately, most of the places that are getting it aren't set up to handle it the way we are.

Hopefully you southerners are stocked up on your favorite beverages 🙂 Be safe - Jim

I kind of thought there was a Ft. Drum connection there...lol!! Yeah man, that's some cold country. So your brother appointed you property manager, huh? Nice guy...
That cold weather is for the penguins and Eskimos...(no offense to the Eskimo people).
I'm sure it's nice up there during the summer months.
