I'm getting ready to swap out my rear end. But I also want to make everything stronger while I doing it! Can I box the uca and the lca I looked no here and I seen there is a little confusin between boxing them and cause binding issues. I also wanted to reinforce the bracing that support the upper. What do you guys think?

If your keeping the stock arms you can box the lowers but its best to keep the uppers as-is. Boxing the uppers is what helps contribute to binding and creating a harsh ride as the arms were designed to flex a little.

Thanks, I really don't want to mess with the ride cause it drive smooth and I want to keep it that way. Also do you think 9 gauge steel is to thick I got 1 foot by 5 foot sheet for free from a buddy what do you think?

I would advise against boxing the LCA, you would be better off getting aftermarket arms with the johnny joints in them. If you must box the stock LCAs keep using factory rubber bushings to help cut down on binding. Stay away from the poly bushings as they bind up worse than rubber bushings, poly is meant for the track and not for street use.

This is why I'm confused, there people that say don't do the uppers and do the bottoms and there is people saying don't do the bottoms, what problem can it cause it I do the top or bottom?

I boxed both uppers and lowers, and I have poly bushings in both and up front. I haven't had a single binding issue and The lowering springs where the only thing that made my ride a little stiffer thats it.

the only other side effect after boxing them was... my car doesn't wheel hop anymore

The mounting holes for the UCA got oblong'd?

that is the elongated hole for the upper on the rear axle side that was used for less than 5 months. It started out as a 1/2" hole
