This is why I'm confused, there people that say don't do the uppers and do the bottoms and there is people saying don't do the bottoms, what problem can it cause it I do the top or bottom?

The problem is the 4 link design, it's prone to both wheel hopping and binding. Of the two binding is worse since it causes snap oversteer which is when a car goes from understeer to oversteer without warning and causes loss of control. This happens because the parts bind up causing understeer and what many people think is good handling, but can snap lose out of the bind and cause sudden oversteer. To prevent this most factory 4 link setups (GM, Ford, etc) are designed to flex but this promotes wheel hop. Most of the poly stuff and boxed arms are aimed at track guys and not intended for street driving but the catalogs aren't going to tell you that since they want the sales. Those same parts also put alot more stress on the control arm mounts and the frame itself. As pontiacgp's photos show, something has to flex, if the control arms and bushings don't flex anymore, then their mounts and the frame will! The arms are designed to flex so let them do their job and let them flex. However your rubber bushing could be worn out and may be a good time to install new 1LE rubber bushings.

Thanks GP!

@jjonesbadasscutlass, here are our conversion uppers with Roto-Joints.

http://www.umiperformance.com/catalog/i ... cts_id=354

We find with the GM 4-link rear, anything we can do to free it up when articulating helps. Especially with the high angularity of the short uppers.

GP uses the Roto's down below as well for an extra dose of free articulation.

We find that poly from 2012 isn't as bad as poly from 1990, especially when torqued moderately and properly lubricated. If you're daily driving and don't have much body roll (which equate to one wheel up in the wheel well and one in full droop) you can more easily get away with poly bushings.

We can mix and match all our products to meet your needs.

This happened to me once. It wasn't fun. Luckily it was nothing major but it could've gone much worse had I been going any faster.
