I generally prefer the dual, or single headlight unit, but the quad light setup looks good with a custom tube grille and euro style headlamps.
I used the '81 header panel because it's got the tube grille look with single headlights.
I agree with you! If its a bone stock Malibu, I do prefer the single headlights, but if there is custom work with the grill and headlights, WOW do the quads look good. Its really a toss up...I own a 1983 Malibu Wagon out of California, My 1st car was a 1979 Malibu wagon, However, i would LOVE to find a original 1978! Green exterior with tan interior, I would probably buy it on the spot lol

If your car already has the quad headlight header panel, I wouldn't change it. I would consider a custom grille, though.
Could you post some pics of your wagon?

1st 78-79, 2nd 80-81. 3rd 82. although I do like it when 79-81 two door Malibu's owners install 82 up front clips.

Not so keen on real Custom bodywork and I prefer the single headlights on the early '78/'79. Same as on the Olds Cutlass Cruiser. My first was an '83 with quads and than a '79 with singles. I too would love to find a 1 old lady owner '78/'79 now. Metallic Green paint with wood grain and tan or green interior with full Brougham option list. And a hot motor & full suspension update. Where's my box of tissues......:p:p:p
