That car has been for sale on Kijiji for a number of months now. A few months ago, it was in Montreal, so seeing it in Cornwall may mean that it has changed hands once already.
I thought brushed aluminum bezels were 78, like the cutlass had.So, is it a 78 or 79? I thought the 79 had the brushed aluminum gauge bezel. Any other indications of it being a 79? I don't know the GP that well..
I am far from 75 and I don't own lawn chairs and I have no kids. Never had an A body either.20 years ago I'd agree. Now "Pontiac Guys" are a bunch of 75 years lawn chair guys reminiscing of how fast their '69 GTO was (though they never went to a track and had 3 kids at the time so never went out on the street after dark).
I would build this to drive and shoot for 3,200lbs. Aluminum LS motor, Tremec 5 speed, lower it, blazer brakes, sway bars, etc. and get the License Plate 1 of 234

Redline. Closed. I admit I'm a dying breed for sure. I keep mostly to myself, I do mostly traditional rod shows if I go.Royce City has a Dragstrip, right?
Have you gone to a Pontiac Car show in DFW?
The Average age at the Pontiac National Event at the TMS a few years ago I'd peg at around 65, including Trophy wives acquired in the 1980's.
