Manual 79 Grand Prix for sale

What is that control panel to the left of the HVAC controls? I have never seen anything more than the defroster switch in that panel.

Its an aftermarket graphic equalizer somebody spliced in.

You could not get cruise control on a manual GP in 1979. That is also the automatic center console.

1978 only had the silver faced gauges. So '79 it is. And the SJ and Grand Am only got the silver dash bezel. The tail housing looks like a Saginaw to me and there is no Cat.
 
You could not get cruise control on a manual GP in 1979. That is also the automatic center console.

Mine (we bought it in 1984) had an aftermarket cruise in it. It didn't have a Clutch switch so it revved until the valves floated (about 5,100) if you pushed in the clutch before the brake on cruise.

I remember being surprised when my new '86 Mustang showed up that I could push in the clutch and it cut off the cruise.
