My question is for a buddy that has a 87 Monte SS with manual windows and he wants to put power windows in it do I have to change wire harness/fuse panel or does the car have the pigtails under the dash somewhere. I know sometimes GM made one harness and would just as fuses and a wire were it was needed. Car is a few hours from me but I can have him look before I take the drive.
Thanks

I'm sure him and I have parts layin around to make it work with factory wires and plugs

IIRC, there’s a circuit breaker and plug that gets added into the fuse block, runs off the accessory fuse. On my 84, power windows were a separate harness, as well as the power locks.

To answer your question, the harness will need to be added. I did this swap about a year and a half ago. I sourced the harness and switches and all that from ebay.
