Manual Trans "hump"

Its got a mild 350 sbc. My car is really just a cruiser. The reason for staying with the Saginaw is only because i have it. If i could change to a muncie cheap enough i would.

If you have not already sawn up your floor, consider a Camaro T-5. The overdrive will make long highway cruises more pleasant. The internal rail shifter eliminates all the linkage. I found the shifter on my Malibu came up in the middle of the package tray/floor shift hole. A fresh T-5 world-Class will survive behind a mild 350, and uses the same 26-spline clutch as a Muncie. The only catch is rigging up the transmission mount, since Camaros used a modified tailhousing and bellhousing that tilted the shifter towards the drive 18 degrees. Use your Saginaw bellhousing and clutch linkage. The input collar is the same.
