MAP Sensor Question From The Cave

I went to my friends yard and picked up a MAP sensor from a GMC truck and got two connectors, one has the locking tabs broken but I couldn't find another connector so I'll have to dig up another one....thanks to you guys for your help.... 👍

An MSD MAP sensor is required to use this feature and three
are offered:
1-Bar, for normally aspirated engines, PN 23111
2-Bar, for 2-30 psia, PN 23121
3-Bar, for 2-45 psia, PN 23131

Hit up Amazon or Summit etc for a quality 1 Bar unit, and then you can scale your timing against vacuum/load and rpm in the software.

Where did you find that info, the instructions for MSD 6530 have no mention of what to use and very little info on the MAP system.

It was right there in the instructions you posted - on lucky page 13.

I was wondering HTF I missed that....the headline for that section is Boost Retard Curve and since I am not running any boost so no need for a restart curve I ignored that section. ....

luckily for me you guys pick up my slack..... 👍

I'll let you know when I need a good lawyer... and then you can give me his number. 😛

Maybe when you saw retard & thought it was referring to Trudeau so you skipped it. 🤔
