Clean as expected/hoped.

I have everything I need for the engine now except for V8 clamshells, a tank and a fuel sender.....I think thats all I need anyway

Dont think I mentioned this anywhere before so here is a good place, this is a budget build....of course they all are, but Im keeping my expenditure at bare minimum, and this is as much an exercise is self control and wise application of cash as it is about making my Malibu more fun to cruise.

Heres the expenses so far:

JY '99 5.3 LM7 81,000 miles: $300
New LSA pan and pickup: $182.31
New COMPLETE engine reseal and timing chain: $265.78
NewLS6 valve springs: $58.99
New "1 setbacks: $45
JY ALT and PS pump w/bracket complete, flywheel spacer and bolts: $30
JY ECM w/brack and harness: $21
New various wiring, connectors, terminals: $37
New G7 sender/Walbro 180 $183.19
JY Fuel tank $40

Total so far: $1163.27 gonna break my original goal of $1,200, but thats largely because I decide to go through the motor and change springs and chain, thats $320+ i wasnt counting on but decided it was best way to go. I should still be able to keep it under $1500 though. 🙂

subscribed!!! i have 3 lq9's that im going to put in 2 of my mcSS'S,and the other in my 87 elco  (CARBS SUCK!!!)what fuel tank are you rumnning? where are you buying/ordering your parts from?

Running a Monte TBI tank with Racetronix G7 fuel sender and Walbro 180.

I got the LS6 springs from Jegs. I get a lot of my wire from Waytek, and most of my terminals and connectors from Mouser, and the GM factory wiring repair kit.
All the rest of my new parts that are GM are from the parts counter at my dealer.
The setbacks I went with ones from Cutthroat 4x4

man makes me wish i had a Malibu!!.. subscribed!
