Mini tub/frame notch question

When you do a frame notch you are basically cutting the frame to match where the wheel tub already is, there is little to gain with a mini tub since you can only notch so much before requiring moving the frame rails inboard to add clearance.
Perfect that’s what I was hoping for. I would rather just frame notch than have to mini tub. A lot less work.

Nope, no pics on these wheels, no rolled lips yet, and no frame notch either. Factory ride height at the moment, but swapping in MOOG 5409 rear springs the next time I'm home in March.

I bought the wheels off of this Elco, changed the rear barrels to avoid having to use spacers on the rear, and purchased Blazer spindle/brakes to avoid having to use spacers in the front.

I love those wheels. That brushed face and chrome lip is hitting hard right now. What car do you have? I’ve done the the blazer spindle brake kit up front already, but I have tall upper ball joints and 2in lowering springs so I think I can only fit 20” up front. If I can fit a 22x11 in the rear without any cutting I may just do that to avoid having to fab. What size tire in the rear is that a 30 series? I’m just going to find something with your wheel/tire size so I know I’m safe

Those were 265/30/22 tires, but my preference for 11" wide wheels is a 295/25/22 tire.
My car is in my signature block.

a blazer brake setup will not avoid the use of spacers up front unless you got the belltech spindles. the factory spindles do not space out the track width.

The issue was the protrusion of the stock G-body spindle hub bearing. That was the primary reason for my purchase of the Blazer spindles, to eliminate that issue. That was the only reason spacers were even necessary on the front.

they will remedy that issue for sure. you have just enough lip for center the wheel. already done the stock blazer spindle swap on my malibu and have the belltech's on my 02 blazer.
