I just got a console and breadbox from a Monte Carlo. Is the breadbox supposed to be attached with 3 rivets to the front of the console? There are 3 pop rivets holding the console and breadbox together and I can't tell if they are factory or not. It looks factory but I've never seen GM use pop rivets. If they aren't factory, I'd like to remove them so I can clean them separately. Maybe if they are factory I should remove them anyways and replace e with bolts and nuts?

Joe, I'll check my console when I get home. From what I recall mine is riveted also.
