Monte Carlo SS *clone*

I bought this car off of a buddy of mine who realized project cars aren’t for everyone.

It’s a 1981 that someone-somewhere “cloned” an SS.

The car came from upstate New York and the floors were rusted- this was the killer for my buddy. 800$ later the car was mine.

I purchased the car with a 5.3/4l60e, EFI tank, 243 heads, Ls7 cam, GTA wheels and new floor pans.

My plans are to make a decent driver. Hopefully springs/summer daily. Here’s a little of what’s been done so far.

You have the cole slaw shredders on the back - I love those wheels! But what axle or are there like 3" spacers in there?

edit : seen in your other thread that you have spacers. I have a friend that has 2 or 3 sets of these that he won't sell me...................smh ;(

The rear is an 8.8 out of a fox body with strange axles and a 355 gear. The only reason the first picture looks warm is because it was taken during the summer. I’m in Baltimore Maryland and it is like 18° right now😂😂

Little update of parts that came in today!
The cam is the first run of “the best cam” from the guys at Sloppy Mechanics.

Made a little progress today installing the interior.

The new carpet kinda fits like crap and the steering wheel is going to get repainted anything but that green.

All the interior was pieced together from a few cars so I’m missing hardware and little odds and ends. Overall I am loving the gray.
