Your chevy rockers ARE NOT TORQUED like an olds. You tighten to take lash out. I don't have time at this moment to tell ya how to do it, just wanted to save you from messing sh*t up. Check on google, bunch of how to's on lashing valves. If you don't understand I'll be logged on later and can probably help.

Okay thanks for the heads up, I am going to google it now.

DOH.... sorry David. I thought you had an Olds motor. My bad.

Thanks Chris for the save.

I'll go sit on the naughty chair now.

If im not mistaken, low oil pressure will kill the electrical signal to the engine to prevent massive damage. If you engine has oil pressure issues, due to sludge or clogged passages or a weak oil pump, the engine will lose pressure when you come to a stop as the rpms drop. I could be wrong about this, so somebody correct me if I am. Also, I had issues with my th200m torque converter not unlocking as I came to a stop, and it cause the engine to die sometimes at a light/sign. Good luck David!

Well I might be low on oil, because of the leak I had before from the valve covers.
I took them off and noticed That my gasket was folded and letting the oil out.
So maybe that would be causing the dying problem?

I highly doubt you have any of the original stuff from your old 3.8 to your 350 chevy so I'm gonna guess your oil level isn't a problem. Did you get your choke working right? If you have loose rockers that means a cylinder isn't going to be working correctly. Valves will not be opening as much as they are supposed to or in some cases not at all. You said you saw a couple loose ones. Did you lash them or someone else? Were they lashed at all?

I watched a couple videos On lashing valves ( http://youtu.be/89o5rLpbCgI ) That one to be exact so I just copied what he did.
so I did them myself.
There was more than a couple they were all loose everyone besides like 3 or 4.

Ah well if most of them were too loose then you could fix a lot by adjusting them. You still having those problems?

Keep in mind that you will have a few rockers that are "loose" or move a little more than others depending on what part of the cam lobe they are on at that particular moment. If the valve that the rocker is actuating is closed then it will be more loose than a rocker that is in the process of opening/closing a valve.

Don't just blindly go tightening them all up until none of them move.
