The 1/4 mile times were very interesting. Obviously temperature made a difference. I would have been nice to see how the 442 compared to the horrible 16.8 the Monte SS put down. Not the Olds 442 runs just behind the Monte SS.

Times have definitely changed. The Monte Carlo ran a 16.6 sec quarter mile which was described as impressive and breathtaking. That video is a cool piece of history

It's pretty difficult for me to enjoy the show now days. I liked it back in the 80's and 90's when some of the new cars were still cool. New cars now are uninspiring. What sells cars now is the gee whiz technology and electronic nanny equipment, none of which interest me in the least.
