I just put my new wiper motor in and it worked good for about 5 seconds. Then the wiper arm fell off so I shut it off and put the arm back on....no big deal. When I went to turn the switch on again all it did was make a clicking noise like a starter with a low battery. So I got to messing around with the 3 wire brown connector closest to the fender with the diode in it and every once in a while it would turn on but quickly die before making a complete revolution. The diode finally broke off and wedged itself between the firewall and fender well so im not digging it out. Can someone please tell me what diode I need and what the hell is going on? Im so f**king tired of the wiring issues in this thing.

this might help...looks like a 20ohm diode?

That link is awesome, thanks. I'll pick up a new diode tomarow at work but in the meantime does anyone know whats going on with the clicking noise? I just ran a jumper wire from the casing to the frame to rule out a bad ground and it still does it. Its like when I wiggle the 1,2,3 terminal connector it clicks but wont even move anymore. Atleast earlier it would rotate and stop.

could be a defective motor...if you still have the old one, u may want to see if it was a wire issue rather than the motor itself. the clicking may come from the motor itself, either its not engaging properly and the teeth are chattering or its a soleniod malfunction. What was the issue with the old motor?

The old motor did the exact same thing so I took it off and took it in as a core and brought this one home. If I wiggle the main 3 wire terminal just right it will click and now the wipers wont move. Its like it gets worse the more I **** with it. I took the arm off of the back so there is absolutley ZERO resistance as far as something getting stuck. I checked all of the connectors for that harness and everyone is good. Im totally lost...

The switch may be the issue....have you checked for voltage from the harness? Fuses are good right?

The fuses are all good and I get my meter back tomarow so this will be the first thing I do when I get home from college on thursday. When I turn the switch it made a clicking noise like it was trying to turn on but wouldnt. Now that I have been tinkering with it it wont even click. I bought some diodes today and I still gotta replace the one I broke or can I run it without the diode?
