whats up everyone im joe. ive had a 1986 olds cutlass supreme for about 2 years now. the past few months have been agrivating. my car hasnt started since december. i turn the key and it just turns over, it doesnt fire. finally, after a while it does fire but only stays running for a few seconds, then stalls and a white vapor blows out of the carb. i have put a new distrubuter on it, reset the timing chain, replaced the timing chain, and even put a new computer in it. i have no idea why the car is doning this. maybe one you you guys can help me? please let me know on here or on my email [email protected]

Is it getting spark and fuel? Are you sure the firing order is right? Could the distributor possibly be 180 deg. off? Are you sure the fuel pump and fuel filter are in good shape?

WELL IT HAS A BRAND NEW FUEL FILTER, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT OF THE FUE; PUMP. COULD THE SENDING UNIT BE BAD ALSO?

The filter on the sending unit may be plugged. Do you see fuel going from the carb into the intake?

yea it shoots fuel into the intake, quite a bit

did you check the firing order?

yea the firing order is dead on

are you sure your gas is good and it doesn't have any water in it?

nope theres no water in the gas

I suppose the plugs and the wires are in good shape too
