I honestly state I made my car like it is so I could merge into traffic easier..
Exactly, you have to be able to pull out into 55mph traffic and get going 😀

I know street racing is dumb and all, but honestly, the first thing that I thought was "wow, that H/O pulled a wheel on the street!" Then I thought, "damn, that sucks for that dude in the Camaro. Not only did he wreck his car, but he was getting spanked too!" I had to chuckle when I heard them talking about selling their cars now too. That type of racing has gone on around here for years. When the cops find them and shut it down, they just move to a different spot... I'd much rather see them at the track.

I have to admit i did the same thing. I read about it first but when i saw the cutlass launch i foregot any one ever got hurt. The two things i've learned about my brain is that when i see or think about gbodies 100% of my brain focuses on them and when i try to say anything about honda my brains like "NO! insert mazda motor code now!"

It is a bummer her got hurt though but he should have known better

I was just gonna say the same thing...guys they interviewed were saying they are selling their cars because they are just too much for them. Bottom line here is Murphy's Law...Anything that can go wrong, WILL!! So don't be a dumbass. Wear a safety harness of some sort and a helmet.

Its a shame that nice Camaro got tore up over a stupid street race. At least the driver was smart enough to let his son out of the car.
In my honest opinion both parties involved should be fined heavily, lose their cars and be made to watch them get crushed. All on account of being stupid!! I wonder how both drivers would feel if a bystander got hurt or killed when the mishap took place, I know that I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something like that happened. There is a time and a place to race and it is at a TRACK not on the street. Street racing KILLS.
Don't get me wrong I like fast cars and don't mind playing a bit but I would rather drive the 3 hours to the local track and race all day, then to take a chance on the city streets.
Street racing KILLS!!!

Chris

I'm glad you didn't say innocent bystander. If we're going to call the racers stupid, I think every one of those people standing along that road are just as stupid. That the hell are they thinking???

Some are innocent however. Like the idiots that bring their kids to an unsanctioned event. I'm all for horsing around her and there but taking hot cars out to race on public road ways is just not smart. Especially in a city type area. Old country road at midnight, well that was a different story wasn't it Ritter?

I know it's your opinion but that is honistly stupid as hell. Crushing cars just because they were used for street racing is as stupid as the retire your ride promotions.

If they get their cars crushed they can just buy a new one and then thousands of dollars in good parts get watsed and two cars in perfect conditon are wasted. I know street racing is stupid but so is pointlessly destroying cars because the owners are idiots.

They don't want people to stop street racing. Could you imagine all the money the state would lose if they didn't have any Reckless Driving Street Racing tickets issued for an entire year  It would put law enforcement out of business
