Bad day in the Rktpwrd household, girlfriend had to put her baby down. 10 year old German Shepard, severe hip displaysia. RIP Scooter.

I can’t take much more this year, 2 dogs gone in 11 months.

Sorry for you and your girl's loss, Donovan, it sure isn't easy.

Years ago I put our first child down, a Rotty/Lab mutt, and cried like a baby. Took me six years and my two kids "Hounding" me to get another before I gave in. No regrets, both of them were rescues and good dogs.

Thanks for the condolences Mike. It’s sure been a difficult year, for some more than others. We’re coping with it ok, we’ve each made shadow boxes with some of our favourite pictures of them and a couple of their personal items. (Dog tags, favourite toys etc).
It’s been cathartic in helping heal. Still miss my boy terribly and think about him all the time though.

I have a 2 year old yellow lab,very spoiled rotten.He comes with me to work,shop dog.Good thing is my customers know to clean up antifreeze messes.Certain customers have a dog treat ready for him that he knows very well.He knows my Mac tool dealer very well too,has dog treats in his tool truck
