Badass!!

Lately I've been calling my 79 'Knightmare'.. I think I might make it stick. :)

Awesome 3rd Gen though.. You don't see many that nice.

Thanks a lot! That means a lot to me coming from a guy who has one of the best looking Monte Carlos I have ever seen. Awsome!! :D :D  :D :D :!: :!:

I've seen similar builds like mine and they put out anywhere from 490hp-520hp and around 490 to 530 ft ib torque. I figure mine is around 500hp and 500ftib torque give or take 15hp and torque. I had a similar motor in my prostreet S-10 and it ran 11.68 best et and that motor didn't have as good of heads that I have now and had a performer rpm intake. The truck weighed 2910 lbs. I hope to get the Monte down to that weight also. Traction will be my biggest problem. I had major problems with traction from my s10 and I had 20" wide slicks on it. I only have 10 inch tires on the monte. I could drive 40 mph in the truck and punch the gas and light up the tires. This motor has tons of torque.

Thanks for the comments! From your description that 78 Malibu sounds like a great street machine also. Do you have any pictures of it yet. I would love to see them.

idk how right the guy was but my dad talk to a guy from trick flow and the guy saidwiht 373 gears and a 2800 stall wiht cheater slicks a car like ours should only need 450 torq and 500 hp to easily pull the front wheels

for traction look into nittos my frend had them on his supra which was putting out around that kinda power and they hooked pretty nice

 :D I Hope he is right that would be a blast to pull the front wheels off the ground. It might be hard with my car I only have 10 inch wide tires. I would have to tune the suspension to hook good enough. It would be a blast trying to pull the front wheels. I didn';t pull the wheels with my 2910 lb Prostreet S-10 with a similar motor. My traction sucked with the truck. I could drive 40mph down the street and punch it and light the tires. :? 8)
