niiice find with the 1600!
i know a couple of people who own them here, they look like real fun to drive.

i found a place who cam re-chrome my grille, hopefully that will get done soon.

also ordered a complete bush kit, upper and lower ball joints and a nice new grant steering wheel from summit racing, they seemed to have the best prices, should be arriving this week sometime. cant wait!

all my stuff from summit racing arrived the other week,
since then i've had all the bushes replaced, plus new springs and shocks, drives so much nicer, the shop who did all my suspension work also sandblasted all the arms and resprayed them so its looking almost new under there.

got my brother to fix the cracks in my grille and that will be off to the chromers a.s.a.p, and my wheels and tyres also came in, 13x7 all chrome 100 spoke wires, and 155/80/R13 white wall tyres.

i totally see what you mean about the steering wheel on the left side

hahaha! when i first bought it 2 years back it was left hand drive, some of the pics are old.

sorry for confusing you all 😀

Tell us about the conversion? Dash, suspension, shift linkage, electrical harness....

dash basically just got stripped, cut up and swapped over, re covered etc.. ahh suspension is still the same except the sway bar had to be moved down about 20mm so the new steering box could fit, its just one from a local car of the same era. shift linkage i got no idea how exactly it is hooked up i didnt do those bits myself. just had to make up a new steering shaft with a couple of uni joints in there so it could work its way through to the steering box.

on the the electrical side of things i think all the wires just got extended?

brake booster remains in the same place, had to run a bar along behind the dash and drop the pedal down.

i need to drop the floor down as its higher than the old drivers side.

thats all i can think of for now... 8)
