Excellent job and very cool project. I vote not to black out the centers of the Ttype wheels. Car looks great all white white bumper no trimp black grill windows & door handles covers the look without blacking the wheel centers. Engine is clean and I like your paint choice and blue hoses. Nice work all the way around.

I vote to keep the wheels as is.

With them blacked out, it looks like it should be orange with a big '01' on the door and a push bar up front!

neat project!

Mine looks like the evil twin of yours 8) ....just slower :x

I've been following the thread on your wagon and its going to be awsome when its finished. I am going to stock with white on my wagon, I dont need another black car as much as I would like to do my wagon black. Keeping up with the black on the GN & everything else is enough work for me.

Got a little more work done to it on Friday, got the gauges in and wired, hot wire kit is made up and installed, got the vacume tank in for the brakes and hooked up, vacume ball in for the criuse control, finished all the vacume lines, volt booster in, heater core valve and hoses are in, finished painting the core support, installed the oil and trans coolers, newer set of taillights are in, and a bunch more misc stuff I forgot.

Still more to do, I need to get a battery, hopefully receive my parts from racetrononix, install my deep art carr trans pan, install the downpipe I finally got right, replace the rear fuel lines, change the fuel filter, filter, finish modifying my fender dump exhaust elbow, finish modifying the sending unit for the fuel tank, install gas tank, wire the scan master in, & fill it with fluids.
Hopefully next week if I get the parts I am waiting for I can starter up. I'll have most of this stuff done this Friday but still need a few things I am waiting on.

Havent done much to the car lately, few weeks back I cleaned the interior, installed the battery, downpipe, testpipe, modified exhaust elbow, wastegate puck plate to use stock style exhaust elbow, deep art carr pan is on trans, filled it with fluids, and installed the scan master. Since then I have been waiting on parts, etc...

Finally got my stuff from racetrononix, modified fuel pump hanger is together hopefully I can get the tank in the car this weekend and fire it up.

Got my wheels back from being refinished, went with the stock t-type look.

Tires are on the way should have them later this week. Hope to have the car on the road later this month.

Absolutely love it with the GN wheels. Thanks for sharing!

I killed it... Rod knock in the #1 cylinder, pulling the engine and disassembling it this weekend. Major bummer cause it was running so good, but that’s the disadvantage of running a used motor. I knew something was up when my oil pressure dropped a few pounds at idle from where it was. There hasn’t been any detonation with it since I have been running it, pretty sure the damage was done by the previous owner of the motor and me running it with the pan caked bearing made it worse. I should have checked the bearings when I had it on the stand before, O well live and learn I guess...

I'll rebuilt and get it back together over the winter and hopefully up and running for spring. While the engine is out I am replacing the ball joints, bushings, all steering parts, and performing the jeep steering shaft mod, also putting on SSBC force 10 dual piston brake calipers and performance rotors so I can stop this beast.

Update on the car.

December 18th 2009 the motor started knocking while cruiseing down the road. I pulled the motor on January 18th 2010 to rebuild it, its all apart waiting to go to the machine shop.

January 18th 2010, Engine out and apart thrust bearing toast, next chapter begins.

While its apart I decided to take it one step further and totally strip the car and repaint it. It had a cheap single stage white paint job put on it about 6 years ago when my friend had it but it sitting for all that time took its toll on the paint. I got it to shine back up a little with lots of work but it just needs to be redone and done right.
