i bought this car in Feb. 2010. in the past year i have made some improvements. i replaced the tired 305 with a mush healthier 355 (425 hp) and installed a th400 with 3200 stall. when i got the car the gauge cluster was all bad with the exception of the fuel gauge. i made a new cluser as you can see in the pic. i hope you enjoy the picstures (sorry the car is so dirty). this year i will be upgrading the rear end (9" with 4.33 and detroit locker) with frame notch and rear coil overs , adding rear disk brakes, and starting on the body work. i am repainting the car white, but getting rid to the monte stripe kit. Instead of the typical stripe kit, i will add another strip accross the front end similar to the Camaro strip of the 60's. although the inner headlights are removed, i havent got the ram air completed. this is my daily driver and my weekends are the only time i have to work on the car. next weekend i am removing the power steering and installing the manual steering box.

Thats a nice car man! I like the gauges, too many guys going digital.

Holy sh*t that's a nice SS. Great work with the dash bezel! I just don't understand that interior burgundy colour was never a big fan of 'em.

Not to change topic but speaking of dash boards your's is amazing 454! I was planning on swapping in a GP dash in my monte just for the bigger instrument panel area even before I seen yours but yours definatley has given me more inspiration to do it lol.

Thanks for the words 83montess! I always loved the GP dash, it's one of the reasons for my addiction to the GP. And the intrument bezel is pretty much flat, except for the lower half being a bit recessed. I could have easily had the machine shop make it that way but didn't think of it till after my template was made in the 1/8" aluminum, it fit and looked really good. If you ever do swap it out shoot me a PM for tips etc...

Back on subject, X2 on what shoebot85 said, the lower black part of the car really makes it look awesome!

Will do! Its gonna be awhile tho.

Nice ride :!:

That center console gave me a good idea. I am wanting to keep my bench seat but I am wanting to install a floor shifter. I was thinking if I were to have the center seat section cut back, flush with the fold down armrest section. It looks like I could take a MOnte Carlo center console and cut it off right past the shifter section.
