Ok so after a good night of work I was able to remove everything around the a pillar and inspect. Luckily for me the rust is just the a pillar and replacement will clean it up. Unfortunately I have to do both and the t top header panel so next I’ll be trying to get the windshield out without breaking it. But before anything I need to brace across the doors and tie it together side to side.

Ok so today I had some time to try and tackle some of the rust across the ttop header panel, and then the drivers side A arm. I also noticed that I have similar rust issues on the base of the passenger side A arm so I’m going to have some fabrication work because they don’t make the hinge pillars to purchase and for what needs done I believe I can do the metal work myself. I’ll include some ugly pictures of the problems I found.
