 You guys make me want to keep this thing more & more 😉

Last summer around 10 at night I had a guy in a Mustang (I think it was a GT500) wanting me to race him because I a)caught him off guard, or b)just plain beat him across the intersection, but I knew it would set me up to fail because I only had the 3-speed and he had 5 or 6 gears.

i hate mustangs all years, especially the fox bodys! those things are a dime a dozen here where i live! and anybody can go buy a new GT500 and think they are cool, but your car my friend was built with blood, sweat and tears, i know you have a sense of accomplishment hitting everyone of them 3 gears! so what if the guy pulls out ahead of you, you kept up with him from the start and i'm sure that woulda suprised the hell outta him! i know my car isn't the fastest and i'm ok with that, my motor looks good and is built how i want it, it's my daily driver and i still get stares when i'm it, primer spots and all, i love that feeling, and for a couple seconds, i can keep up with a HEMI magnum...

Well if i were you I would keep the Bu...I know you have another one but Two is always better! besides you can always use another street beater

would this be an innapropriate time for a "thats what she said" joke?lol i need to go to bed its getting late lmao

Just send me the headlight bezels when your done with it. You can leave them attached to the car if ya like.

I haven't updated this thread in a while  It's on a couple different forums, so I guess it's expected 😛
I picked up some 17x?? for the 'Bu, 275/40s on them, almost new, that's part of the reason I bought 'em. I still need to order spacers though. I made a heater blockoff plate from some sheetmetal from Home Depot (cheaper than aftermarket, took all of an hour to make, probably won't have the car long enough to be too concerned with fit/finish), also planning on making a pseudo-cowl panel to replace where the heater box had one. Ordered a set of shorty headers & a GN-style exit 2½" Pypes exhaust also, just need to notch the crossmember.

I also got everything back from the machine shop, and did a late-night thrash putting the short block back together.

I still have to get a shifter setback bracket/rods, and new clutch linkage from speeddirect.com, along with a few other odds/ends that I'm sure will come up as I'm finishing the install.

Oh dear, I didn't realize I hadn't updated this one  I've been driving the car for a couple months now, just hit around 1,000 miles on the motor.

A little handiwork with the rear of the 4 center gauges...

The shorty headers I got are apparently for an F-Body... took a lot of work to get them to even fit and then I didn't use 'em because of where the collectors exited, but now I can't return them because they've been beaten on. I just put the longtubes back on, and I'll get the correct shorties sometime down the road.
