Bumpin, "I'm gettin pulled into the performance thing big time" You have did a lot of nice work and come a long way since you started on this forum. Plus you remain positive supportive and don't get cynical and I know you had some shops rip you in the past. Kudos. Hot rodding has sort of has a maturity thing that comes from doing and experiencing and becoming part of the been there done that few. Most burn out have something go really bad and or get ripped off and get mad and frustrated and quit. Some stick it out and learn what really tricks their trigger and enjoy their hobby. Once the bug bites you and you get "gofastitis" it never really leaves though. If you can stay content with big wheels the look you start out to want and the "nice lil motor and sound" you are better off. But seems like once you ride in a really well done FAST car like a 11 second car that does everything well then you are in trouble and you judge others & cars differently and see the hobby from a different perspective. I don't mean negative or critical just different. Again if you can stay satisfied with the look pretty and sound nice your better off. If you get the "I will never be embarrassed" in a lil street impromptu again you set different standards for yourself and ride and you re-frustrate yourself all over. I could hear it now .. uh bruh this jus ain't gonna do. I am takin it back apart.
Da Reason, I like the paint job on the 408 and Elkys are just plain old skool cool even with checkerboards & big wheels. If that 408 does put out good power it will spin those big low probile tires hard even at speed especially with the light rear so be careful. Nobody wants to see it back in the body shop unexpectedly.
