Some of you may know I do this show series - Bayou City Cup Series - It was a series of 9 shows in the Houston area. I won (1) Best in Class, and (8) Best GM awards. I was a top 5 performer, and received this nice plaque. After 54 wins in a row, I have decided to quit while I'm ahead. I will retire the GN from active duty... I have (2) other projects that need to be completed. The time, money, and energy it takes to keep this car in this condition, will be better spent on those projects. I will resume the Bayou City Cup Series next year with my 1991 S-10.

GNs don’t retire. 🙂 but now you can go drive it like it was meant to be. Either way, enjoy it.

James, you're on a roll brother. Keep it up. 👍

Now make it a 10-second multi-show winner. It is what the car wants, ya know?

Congratulations James! Guys, he drives that car. He just keeps it so clean it doesn't look like it.

If trophies make you happy, why stop?
Trophies are recognition for a job well done. It's the people I meet, and the stories I hear/share that make me happy. I won't stop. See below.
What do they mean by performer, do you actually drive the car for that award?
You know what it means... I performed well at every show. I drive the car everywhere I go. This show was 71 miles from the house...has never been on a trailer. I don't own one.

I will continue to drive it to cruise nights, and the GN club functions that I promote.
James, you're on a roll brother. Keep it up. 👍
Thanks Jack! I will.... with another vechicle. See below.

Not far from it now, although those 20" tires are useless for the track, it's a mid-high 11 second car now. Just a turbo swap away...

This is next on my completion list, if I can get away from the 78 Aeroback I obsess over every day...

I started building this truck 7 years ago, and got this far in just over 2, but it has been sitting in my garage for 4.5 years now. Only uncovered a few times for cleaning/spider web removal... Every nut and bolt is new, powder coated frame, very nice paint ( Jared, this was painted by Justin, the guy who painted your brother's Camaro ), fuel injected V8, 5 speed manual, all new glass & weatherstripping, Dynomatted, lots of aluminum. It's basically a brand new truck. It's time...
