My old build thread has pretty much fallen apart, so I'm here to officially condemn it. I don't think any of the pictures survived the switch to the new forum platform. Anyway for those of you who don't remember, here is what I'm am working with, and this should also be considered the 'reveal' of my new paint job and all the body work underneath.

So here's the deal,

I started 1987 Buick Regal Limited with a 3.8 NA V6 and Metric 200 Trans, bought in March of 2012. Body was bad, frame was okay. I ended up replacing quarters, doors, hood, parts of the roof, both rockers, inner and outers, repairing fenders, floors, and trunk lid. Body came off of the frame, body mounts replaced with Energy Suspension Poly mounts. Fuel system is new tank-to-carb. Brake system is entirely new except for the booster and the master cylinder. Carpet and headliner are new, new bucket seats were reupholstered with 'new-used' material, steering wheels is from a T-Type, Hood is from a GN. F41 Sway Bars. Antenna was shaved. Vinyl roof was removed, chrome rocker trim was removed. All existed chrome trim was replaced with used parts. Paint is a custom mix of Kirker Dark Garnet Red Metallic and Kirker Jet Black. Primer and clear were both from Transtar. Drive train is still stock and probably will be for a while.

That's everything I can think of off the top of my head. I'll post anything else I forgot. This couldn't have been done without the incredible help I had from a few friends, so I am beyond grateful for all they did to help make this car a reality.

really turned out beautiful Joe! The more I delay on mine, the more I think about a burgandy or a rosewood on mine, with maybe a satin blackout hood like an old super stocker mopar... still have a loong road to go though...

Beautiful. Really itching to get back into my regal project this spring/summer. And what car did your source those rally wheels from?

Beautiful Regal and great job! I'll be glad when I get that far along w/mine.

Thanks everyone, I am very happy with it. Wheels are 15x7 Chevy Rallys, although they are just rollers. I have a set of 15x7 Buick Rallys that are going on it as soon as I get some new tires for them. I did not paint it, a friend of mine, a body man with 40 years under his belt painted it, although I helped with all the masking, prep and wet sanding. The paint line was Kirker Low VOC Black Diamond Acrylic Urethane. The underside, frame, axles and suspension were done with Eastwoods Rust Reformer (Brush on Type), top coated with Rustoleum Gloss Black Brush On.

Power train upgrades will come soon enough 🙂. A 455 Buick would be nice although I have a set of nice race heads for a late 70s Buick 350, had a 3 angle valve job, stage one springs, decked .010", and valves machined for a massive cam, and they only have about 10 passes on them. An LS swap is possible, however. I'd like a 4l60e transmission and I have to do something about the 2.41 open rear differential.
