81 body is the same as an 85. The frame is different only with respect to where the transmission crossmember mounts up. It depends on what transmission you are going to use if you need the longer frame mount or not.
Well, I'm hoping to use the trans that's already in the car. I want to use a Pontiac 350 and I read that the bell housing for the Buick 231 V6 has the BOP bolt pattern. I'm not sure which trans it is yet, I believe that it could be a 200-r4 or a th350. Any thoughts. But since I'm using the frame and the transmission it already has I shouldn't have an issue with mounts and such.
