This is a weird request, but is their anyone in Northeast Ohio somewhat near Lorain County that has indoor space so I can get work done one my Cutlass. Tired of havin rotting away outside and relying on weather to work on it. I would be willin to pay a reasonable price also, and I would not need the space no more than this summer.

Try finding a workshop in an industrial part of town. Sometimes they can be had for under $200 a month for a small one.

Most places don't want the liability of someone working on a car.

Most U-store-it type places are unfortunately DEAD storage for this purpose. I had a car at one of them and I was able to get away with doing some lite stuff on a car as they were pretty lax in their enforcement of the rule.
There are several rows of industrial type garages were people have small buisnesses that they work out of. They are not cheap around here and I believe you still have to sign off on any liability or show some proof of insurance. Worth checking into further.

Also, not sure of your living arrangements, but you can always get a good auto shelter that you can put up. The ones with the heavey weather covers. I have a 20X12X8 and is just enough room to do what I want for car repairs. Look on line for prices. Mine was $250-$300. The heavey duty ones are best.

Even better if you can put it on solid ground, but mine is on soil so i have lined the whole ground under it with heavey tarps. And have maybe 20 flat concrete squares that I can drive the car up on so it is a little easier to work underneath. Can't really take out engines very well, but I have done many many projects in mine as I store one of my cars in it all winter and work on it while it is stored.
Plan it all out ahead of time. Like, where you are going to put it, make sure the area doesn't collect a pool of water. And try to get the car higher than the ground by drivin up on small solid concrete blocks for height.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Dan,

Nice to see another "Clevelander" here. I want to echo Jatguit, get a temporary shelter. you can do it for less than $200.00. If you go to Murray's they have a 10x20 canopy for $118.00, then go to Harbor Freight and get a 23x17 tarp to make the walls (cut in 1/2 and attach to canopy poles with zip ties.

They do not hold-up too well to snow, but this time of year they are great. Mine collapsed in December due to snow, but I just set up another one this week, thats how I know all of the prices.

If you find a place though post on here if they have anymore spots. I would be interested if cheap enough. Also, let me know if you need or have any parts since we are close.

Well, I was not referring to a storage unit, but an actual shop space. We have them all over the place in the Tampa/St Pete area and they are filled with cabinet makers, and small import tuner shops as well as other niche businesses that do not require major road frontage.

I heard of a place in Parma that rents out there garage for 10 bucks an hour. They have a lift, air tools, etc. I would do that if I only needed little stuff done to it, but that would be kinda pricey with all the stuff that needs done on the Cutlass! I will try to find the exact location, maybe someone else can use it.
