I didn't want to write in the other post because it became something it wasn't supposed to be.
But i got a video of what the car is doing, its making a complete turn of the flywheel but
looks like the starter isn't engaging.
Also I got the code on the engine and from what i see its not even a 350 like they said, they cheated me and put a 305 in it.
The code is 14010201...305...80-85...2: That's what I am getting from all the sites I am looking at.
But Thought I would put it here cause I may be looking wrong.
I will have the videos up in just a minute just waiting for them to download to youtube.
Thanks and hope I can at least get help with the code until the video gets posted.

Your right that number is for a 305. Did you get in writing they were supposed to install a 350 or a receipt with that on it? I know you expected the same thing that was in there before, maybe that was a 305 as well???? Goodluck buddy.

Yeah I got it in writing it was a 350, The old was a 350 cause I looked the code and it was a 350 from the 60's to 70's.
This is the worst news to find out on top of everything else, They just used me to the fullest.
Its whatever though.
Thank you so much for re assuring me it was a 305, I knew it looked much much smaller in the bay.

The motor wont turn over if the starter isnt engaging....it will just grind. from the sound of the video, my guess would be a timing issue...either the chain has broken or the bottom crank gear is shot...Check to see if the distributor is loose...it may have not been tightened well enough and slipped back enough to retard the timing. While your doing that, take the cap off and see if the rotor button is turning when the motor is turned over....

I got a newer better video I am going to post of it.
But the distributor is a bit loose.
Thanks for this.

I just looked at that video, left a comment too. Install your your starter shim correctly, could be the reason it's binding. It's not likely, but it IS possible and it's free to check it as well. Hope this helps and hope ya figure it out soon. I wish I was alot closer so I could help ya out.

The shims actually go between the starter and the block. Start with one and add as you need them if you need them.
