I'm in need of a new fuel pump. What brand are y'all running and what's Yalls opinion on them. I had a Holley blue on mine but it crapped out after 2 years. Any opinions on a good pump would be appreciated.

I got out there today to try and clean my pump hoping I could get it to work but no success. I hooked up my regulator and gauge and even with the regulator turned wide open it would only pump with 4 psi. Needless to say I don't think I'm going back with a Holley.

In my experience those Holley blue pumps don't usually last but 2-3 years anyway. Just curious how did you have it hooked up? Did you have a relay hooked up to turn it on also were you using a pre filter ahead of the pump and if so what micron rating? What's your horsepower rating? Personally I've always had really good luck with any Magnafuel pumps & regulators. Not so much from Aeromotive.

I had my pump hooked up to a toggle switch with a inline fuse. And I run 2 filters one before pump and one before the carb. Not sure on the rating of them. Not exactly sure of hp either.

Come on guys I would love to here what fuel pump y'all are running so I can make my mind up on what I need to get. I've looked at Carter's, aeromotives, quick fuel and trick flows. Any input. Need to have her running for the weekend.

you should trigger it to turn on & run off a 30 amp relay so your not burning the pump up. Not just an inline fuse and have a 100 micron pre filter before the pump and a 10 micron after pump - before the regulator. Also if your not doing so - you should have the regulator as close to the fuel bowls as possible. Even 3-4 feet away can cause a pressure drop. Just an FYI if you didn't have it plumbed up that way. If your not making any serious horsepower and are basically just using it as a cruiser and don't want to spend allot of money on a pump you can choose either the Quick Fuel or Carter. Just my $.02 worth.

It's not a pure drag car but it will see the strip at times. I just want something reliable. What you mean trigger it to run off a 30 amp relay.
