need advice on new fuel pump

So I have just one more question. Do I need to plumb in a return line? I've talked to many people that said they don't run a return line. Does that hurt the pump?

Yes and no. A return line helps keep the fuel cooler, not so much the pump. That prevents vapor locking. But, most do not run a return line. With fuel injection and higher hp, like 500-600hp and above, you should run it. Carburator 500hp and below, not needed but always nice to have. My fuel pump has a return line from the pump, back to the tank. If I go with the FAST EZ EFI 2.0, I will certainly need a return line from the regulator or the sender device back to the tank.

Thanks for your replies. I'm gonna keep my plumbing the way it is and wire me in a relay to be safe. Would it be beneficial to run my ground off the pump to the negative battery cable since my battery is located in my trunk?

Not really. A good ground to the frame is more than enough, but if your frame has rot or a poor conductor, go direct or another, better location.
