need engine (305 or another 3.8 v6)

my current 3.8 has too many leaks and fixing it just doesnt seem worth it, was wondering if someone has a 305 and if it will be able to fit in with minor adjustments, also need help on the computer aswell, will the current trans work properly with it?

if not a 305 then another 3.8 will work just fine too.

open to anyone but would preffer something close to sacramento,SF,lodi,stockton.

No, it is not a simple swap! It will all bolt together, but you essentially have to switch out everything mechanical to make it all work together. Read one of the swap stickies in the Engine Swap forum. As you are in CA though, I would think twice about doing such a swap as the benefits are minor compared to the bureaucratic red tape.
