that sucks wonder if I could just wire a light in between the alt and a key on power source??

you can but I think it has to have a resistor in the line which was the lite I believe

Ok. But I see 10 + 2 ohm - 1. What does that mean?

Resistor needs to be above 35ohms and below 300ohms. I used a 100ohm from radio shack.

I had a wire harness from another old gm and spliced it in. So all of the starter wires and 2 of the wires that were in there for the alternator have been replaced. So it is wired up correctly. I made some wires a little too long so i'll have to shorten them up later. I put a new starter in and that fixed the starting issue and now have a fuel leak. The lights are still pulsing when the engine is running. I am planning on getting a new alternator, but need to know which one. The engine is a '75 chevy w/ I'm guessing a 60 amp alt. I am going back to an Olds engine soon but its a 350 not a 307. Should I buy an alt for a '75 truck, an '88 Monte w a 305 or one for an '88 cutlass (which is what I have) w/ a 307? They all have different part numbers. I think they all would mount up the same. Does it matter which one i get? Thanks
