need help with Chevy 3.8 v6 ( temp sensor issue)

Hey guys i have a 81 malibu with the 3.8 v6 ( chevy engine as distributor is in rear )
The temp sensor should be between #1 and #3 plugs but for some reason its not there no hole or wires or anything.
( hookin up a temp gauge pod as i have the idiot lights )
i dont have a (CCC) carb so its not uptop.


Any info would be great if theres another area were its located.

it may be on the intake manifold.

Checked the intake and theres nothing, only the oil sending sensor right below the distributor is up there.
other then that i cant find anything.
